“¡Un día perfecto para pasear!”
, Piensa el señor Ciempiés.
“¿Qué mejor manera
de mantener mis
cuarenta y dos pies
fuertes y en forma?”
Al final de cada pie,
señor Ciempiés lleva
una bota audaz,
brillante y hermosa.
¡Eso es veintiún pares
de botas para los
cuarenta y dos pies!
¡Con quién se encuentra por primera vez, pero la mosca Dame Damsel! “¡Qué botas tan grandes tienes!” dice ella. “Dígame, señor Ciempiés, ¿Cuál de las patas coloca antes de cuál, cuando camina usted?”
“Esta pata, por supuesto!” , Dice el Sr. Ciempiés, levantando la pata número dos. “¡Espera! ¡En realidad, esta pata!” levanta la pierna número cuatro.
“¡Qué botas tan bonitas!” dice el Gran Escarabajo. “Dígame, señor Ciempiés, ¿Cuál de las patas coloca antes de cuál, cuando usted camina?”
