Goby’s Noisy Best Friend – Goby and Snap are best friends, they help each other out. Snap is a pistol shrimp and Goby is a goby fish. Snap doesn’t see very well but he makes a lot of noise. Goby wonders if he is such a good friend until she gets in trouble one day and snap comes to the rescue. Goby and Snap are best friends in real life, and the book gives information about other real-life friends at the end.

Goby and Snap lived deep down in the blue ocean. They were best friends.
But they looked so different from each other!
Goby was a fish with seven fins and no legs. He had very powerful eyes.
Snap was a pistol shrimp with many legs. She had big, noisy claws. But she could not see very well.
CLICK, CLICK, CLICKETY CLACKET! Oh oh, what a racket!
The noise from Snap’s claws scared away many animals in the ocean.

It was a very cute book , my kiddos loved it
I liked the pictures in the book. I liked hearing how Goby and Snap were best friends and looked out for each other.
Yes I did. Goby’s noisy best friend was really good. It had a character vs. character because Goby questioned if he really needed a noisy friend like snap until snap save goby from a giant sea bass
We liked this book because it shows us some of the neat friendships animals have.
