बत पहलेक बात ह। एक बार कुछ बचेगाँव मखेल रहेथे। अचानक तेज़ हवा चली और सारेदोत उसी झक मेबहतेचलेगय। “यह कौन सी जगह ह? ” उ-होनेपूछा, “हम कहाँआ गए? यह जगह बत शांत और डरावनी लग रही ह।“ “द खो, वहाँएक घर ह।“ एक नेकहा, “हमचलकर द खना चा5हए, हो सकता हैहमारी मदद क लए वहाँकोई हो।“
बचेउस घर क ओर चल पड़ । उ-हने :खड़क सेझाँका। अंदर वा;द जन सेभरी एक मेज़ सजी थी। अचानक सामनेका दरवाजा मानो जा? सेखुल गया। उ-हएक अजीब सी आवाज़ सुनाई द, “तुम सब भूखेलग रहेहो। आओ और जी भर खाओ।“
म को शक आ। उसनेअपनेदोत को सचेत करतेए कहा, “ मुझेनह लगता क हमये जन खानेचाहए।“ “लेकन हमबत भूख लगी है,” दोत कुल होकर बोले, “हमसेयह भूख अब और नह सही जा रही है। और जन भी देखो कतनेवा;द ह!“ तभी एक दोत नेसैम सेकहा, “तुह नह खाना तो मत खाओ, पर हममत रोको।“
जैसेही सारेदोत खानेक लए अंदर गए, सैम नेअपनी बहन का हाथ कसकर पकड़ लया। “सैम, मुझेबत भूख लगी है,” वह गड़गड़ाई, “मभी सबक
साथ खाना चाहती !” सैम नेइंकार मसर हला ;दया। “नह, सोय, बलकुल नह। याद नह हमारे माता-पता नेहमIया बताया था– अपना पेट भरनेक लए मत खाओ, अपनेअहंकार क लए कायमत करो। और Iया तुहनह लगता क यह घर थोड़ा अजीब ह? ”
