Bound by Law, tales from the Public Domain, is a comic about public domain law and fair us. The comic contains a nice exposition on how the law can be stifling to creativity and the importance of the public domain. It also details the history of case laws and changes in fair use of other people’s copyright work.
This comic is a light way to read about the public domain law and fair use, and can interest high school students interested in law, or publishing, or in the pursuit of any creative dreams.
This book about the public domain is not in public domain, it is, however, available in creative commons, and is attributed as CC-BY-NC – creative commons attribution, non-commercial.
