You! Yes You! is a fun interactive children’s storybook. We’re going on a monster hunt, and what fun we’re going to have, shaking, blowing, tickling, and lots of surprises. This fun book is bound to keep young children entertained and asking for “Again! Again!” – make sure you follow the instructions, strictly! (And of course, read it all over again if they ask :-).
You! Yes You! is another great picture book for children brought to us by BookDash, putting books in every child’s hand.
I think this also makes a great bedtime story, it’s about monsters and has lots of actions, but it’s not scary at all, in fact, it is quite empowering (unless a child is very sensitive), and the excitement can help tire them out.
Text and Images from You! Yes You! – An Interactive Monster Hunt
Hi! I’m a warrior and
I’m fighting a monster,
and I need you to
help me. Yes, you!
Come with me!
You see those ninja monkeys up there?
I need you to shake this book so they
fall out of the trees!
Shake shake

About Book Dash
Book Dash gathers professional creatives – writers, illustrators, designers, editors – who volunteer to create high-quality children’s books that anyone can freely download, translate, print and distribute. Most of the work is done on a Book Dash day, when small teams work for over twelve straight hours, each producing a new book.
Why Book Dash?
Books purchased from publishers cost too much. In order to distribute more books for South African children, Book Dash participants work as publishers in a single day, having a book with no publishers mean the book will be a lot cheaper the only cost will be printing the books. With these, anyone can run sponsored prints and the finished books can be handed to children.
Every child should have a hundred books when they reach the age of five. that means handing down 600 million free books to South African children who probably could not afford to buy them, More children grow up not learning how to read and write well, and every day we lose more of these children. Let us not neglect these children and help them overcome poverty by first teaching them how to read and to enjoy the worlds that a book can open up.

i would like to read for my elementary student
Early elementary, or older if English is not the first language…
very fun.
I loved this book so much, I had to entice my 7 and 10 year old into reading it with me. The story is aimed at a younger audience, but they still had lots of fun reading with me. They shouted, no Mum not again, sadly, but like I said, it’s aimed more at the pre-school age group. For K and Pre K, or Grade 0 and Grade 00 as they call it here, this book is really awesome, I think a few years back it would have topped their then favourite Octopus-Socktopus.
